Okay I have a 100% solution to keep it quite legal and you guys are going to love it.
Lets say the wind blows from the North, we take half the cars south of shark bay and park them.
Then we all drive up with the other half of the cars north of the bay.
Kite from Northern parking lot to the BAY, enjoy as much as we want, take back packs with snacks etc.
And when we done we head back to the cars in the south.
I'm quite sure he did not purchase the ocean all to himself.
You have to love it. |

I can understand that if you paid such a lot of money for a piece of real estate with the aim to make money from it that you would like to develop it in order to make a profit. I can just imagine the frustration of having a prime piece of land and not being allowed to do on it what you want.
I am sure it all goes about money for the owner. Have anybody ever considered finding out what offer he will except for the land? We all try to stop the development but have you ever wondered what you would do if you were in his shoes. If you paid R18 million for a piece of land, you thought you will develop it and make millions and now you cannot.
This might be a wild idea but let me know what others think. Can't we form a trust and the trust makes the owner a offer for the property. We then get contributions to pay for the property. We can contact big companies like Vodacom and Rand Merchant Bank and ask if they would be willing to sponsor the project. If we do succeed in buying the property we register it in the name of the trust and let it stipulate that the property may never be sold or developed, or something like that.
We can then create walking paths in the area, almost like a small botanical garden. We can put up sign boards education people about the area and nature. Like the whale boards you get inside the nature reserve. On these sign boards we can put the names of the companies who made huge contributions in order to give them some exposure in return for their contribution. We can make parking facilities for the people going to the beach. We can really make it beautifull and make it a place where people can enjoy nature. |
