Daan Visser, the Saldanha Bay Municipality's Town Planner, announced last week at the annual contributor's meeting of the Saldanha Bay Water Quality Forum Trust, that the proposed development @ Shark Bay is OUTSIDE of the Urban Edge. The Council has stepped up to the plate and performed it's duties to the benefit of all of the people it represents and the proposed development no longer has the backdoor open to try to seek planning in a zone which IS Nature Zone and BEYOND the Urban Edge! This is excellent news as Daan Visser had murmured @ a recent Rate Payers Association meeting that they are looking to include the development within the Urban Edge! However, as mentioned, the Municipality has executed their duties in the most excellent way and have continued the ongoing opinion that the Urban Edge is staying put for now and the future!

The Team @ SSB and others have been pressurizing the local, regional & national levels to ensure that the Urban Edge is left in it's rightful place. A lot is going on behind the scenes and more news will follow shortly once everything is in order!

Happy Holidays everyone, this is definitely an early Xmas present from our beloved council!
