Good Morning!

Congratulations to Jonathan Norsworthy (SOUTH AFRICA) for being the 1000th Objector to the Shark Bay Development! Objections are due in by today, so if you have not objected yet, please go to www.savesharkbay.org and get yours in!

Whilst checking out sites, why not view www.sharkbayfacts.org (the developer's site) to see what his "facts" truly are . Whilst viewing, please note that the site has not been updated since he was sent back to the drawing board to do a proper Scoping Report and application through section 24 of NEMA and NOT under Section 28!!! We did try to get a Link Sharing thing going on, but our site (Savesharkbay.org) is not factual enough according to an unsigned email, so please find out the facts for yourselves, then you can object with knowledge!

Well done to all who have objected so far! Over 1000 people and counting has to show the desires of those online who want to stop this development in it's tracks. The owner, Ricardo Scapellini, has threatened through the "FACTS" website, and locally, to close the road and the land. Then what? A Private Reserve. Who knows, except a Private Reserve or any Building, Development or more carries yet another EIA Process, Application et cetera! And by doing so, he will take away the land used by so many over the years. I guess a few "select" friends or businesses may benefit from this, but this should not be about personal or professional gain!

FACTS - according to our panel of Experts, Environmental Lawyers & a Senior Advocate
This land; impinges on the RAMSAR site, IS a Buffer Zone to a National Park, is OUTSIDE of the Urban Edge of Langebaan, IS a critical Terrestrial and Aquatic Biodiversity Area (National Biodiversity Institute) and there are NO vested development rights on this land whatsoever - rights granted in the past were set aside by Courts of Law and were NEVER reinstated!!!!

Please get all those not already registered or who have not Objected to do so TODAY!

Thanks again
Rob & the Team

IT WOULD BE A BLOODY SHAME IF DEVELOPEMENT WAS ALLOWED ON THIS SITE AS it is absolutely unique. To allow a Developer to RIDE ROUGHSHOD over the wishes of the public and to ignore all the many reasons, legal and other, not to develope this site is very suspicious, to say the least. Mr P.Freidberg
